We hope that this is a useful resource, which will continue to grow and expand over time. Dr Roos is an honorary senior lecturer in the Department of Anaesthesia of the University of Cape Town (Groote Schuur Hospital), and is a past lecturer and examiner for the Division of Emergency Medi cine, Universities of Cape Town and S tellenbosch. He has previously worked as an Emergency Medical Services doctor on both a part-time and full-time basis, and has many years of experience teaching and examining prehospital Emergency Care (Advanced Life Support) at the Western Cape Government Metro EMS Provincial Academy of Emergency Care He participated in Wilderness Search and Rescue activities, and actively participated on the Red Cross Air Mercy Service and South Afr ican Airforce helicopter rescue teams for a number of years. He currently heads the Anaesthesiology service at Mitchells Plain Hospital in Cape Town.
