Within the Accounts Payable section, you will gradually take on the following functions within the team: The section processes between 35 000 and 40 000 invoices per year. These are recorded, checked and authorised for payment. The Accounts Payable section (AP), which receives all invoices and credit notes from suppliers. The Accounting Services group (ACC), which is responsible for all accounting transactions of the Organization and includes the General Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Personnel Accounting sections. The Finance and Administrative Processes department (FAP), which is responsible for effectively and efficiently managing the financial resources and commitments of the Organization, and ensuring compliance with CERN’s financial rules and procedures.Participate in updating and improving quality standards of the group.ĭo you have experience in accounts payable? Join CERN and put your skills to use in an exceptional environment! We are looking for a positive, motivated and dynamic person who is able to handle large volumes of work and maintain flexibility, while remaining attentive to detail and being well organised. Work closely with electrical designers in the DDO to act as the link between the 3D integration domain and electrical studies.Manage a 3D equipment library as well as working with other CERN equipment databases.Create cabling synoptics to determine the amount of cable ladders required and determining their optimal routing.Create detailed mechanical models of water-cooled cable terminations and their support structures.Co-ordinate with EL teams, electrical designers and various infrastructure services to optimise 3D integration designs to compare and evaluate different 3D integration options to obtain the most efficient use of space in CERNs installations.Create 3D and 2D designs of electrical installations such as substations which include transformers, electrical switchboards, cable ladders and their mechanical supports in CAD software.Take on a lead 3D CAD Technical Engineer role to work on complex projects of CERN.The 3D integration is often challenging due to very tight space constraints in underground areas and the constraints of other services which requires a proactive and collaborative design approach.Īre you an experienced 3D CAD technical engineer, specialized in delivering 3D designs of complex equipment within technical facilities? Then your skills could contribute to the operation, maintenance, consolidation and extension of the complex electrical transmission and distribution network of CERN, dedicated to a unique laboratory hosting some of the world’s most complex technical installations. The DDO is also responsible for the 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) of the EL groups equipment and infrastructure, termed 3D integration. Within the Electrical Engineering (EL) group of the EN department, you will join the section of the Design and Documentation Office (DDO), which is responsible for delivering electrical designs for the EL group, as well as the database and documentation management of the continuously evolving transmission and distribution networks. The Engineering Department (EN) pushes back the limits of technology so that physicists can carry out their research.
